Because these wondrous, fearless kids who ask us 102,000 questions a day? Yes, 102,000! They’re the ones who’re going to come up with the world-changing idea we can’t even imagine.

It’s true, while we love being light-hearted and even a little bit sassy, we take this commitment toward ethical business practices seriously. Like our Endless Knot, we’re always pushing forward… recognizing the interconnectedness of all things. We also know the best way to create a better world is to fill it with confident, authentic, happy, curious kids.

The Macrae Skye Endless Knot represents our interconnectedness to one another, to ourselves, to nature, and to something much larger (whatever tohat may be!). Sure, it’s a mouthful. But that’s who we are! That’s why everything we do is geared toward one goal: to be your home base for the best kids clothing that holds up to all of the swing-jumping, tree-climbing, somersaulting, “Mommy, watch this” moments!

RESPONSIBLE

If Greta Thunberg’s cute-as-can-be frown hasn’t convinced you to sell your belongings and live out of a zero carbon sailing yacht, it’s cool. But we all know that taking care of Earth isn’t optional. That’s why circularity—reduce, reuse, recycle, repurpose and reuse again—is at the core of our brand. We walk to the walk to help you minimize your impact, while clothing your kids who just won’t stop growing (no matter how many times you tell them to).

COMPASSIONATE

Buy one, give one to women and children in domestic abuse shelters. Something to think about next time the kids go through a growth spurt! Through our Tomorrow Skye initiative we donate used clothing, from all over the country, to our partner domestic abuse shelters—which keeps clothing out of landfills, repurposes used items, and helps others in need. We’ve already donated over 75 tons of clothing. Seriously amazing! But we still have a long way to go, and we can’t do it without you.

LONGEVITY

Ah, parenthood. We don’t have to tell you what an expensive (and wasteful) experience it can be. That’s why we design and manufacture pieces that are made to last. There’s a saying we love: Buy well, buy once. Crafted from sustainable materials and durable fabrics, our clothes are made for kids who do cartwheels, scale playgrounds, jump in puddles, build forts (outdoor and blanket), snuggle, sail, play ball, and read in cozy corners. It’s crucial to keep clothing out of landfills, and YES, doing good for the environment, and doing good for your family go hand in hand. We believe everything comes full circle—our clothing should, too.

ETHICAL

Let’s talk Big Picture. You see, our founder built her career on sustainability, but she still ran into so many roadblocks on the road to launching Macrae Skye. Finding ethical manufacturers that used natural dyes and fibers; organic and sustainable materials; production teams that paid fair wages; and designers that shared her vision…It was like your toddler trying to eat Oreos while brushing their teeth at the same time. In bedtime story terms? She had to kiss a whole bunch of frogs until finally assembling a royally amazing team!
